National curriculum
All schools should make provision for personal, social, health and economic education (PSHE), drawing on good practice.
The PSHE Association Programme of Study recommends pupils are taught:
- H28. to identify personal strengths, skills, achievements and interests and how these contribute to a sense of self-worth
- L30. about some of the skills that will help them in their future careers e.g. teamwork, communication and negotiation
