George has been a primary teacher for 18 years, including being a member of the SLT and leading English and phonics. She is a Key Stage 1 specialist, having designed the entire Key Stage 1 curriculum for an expanding school. She is passionate about the teaching of reading and the power that books and stories can have in delivering all aspects of the primary curriculum. As part of the SLT, George has worked on curriculum design to develop bespoke schemes of work and has been a subject coordinator in computing and art. George loves to create innovative lessons in which the arts act as a vehicle for learning.

George has been dancing salsa for over ten years and often has a sewing project on the go! She loves the outdoors and likes to find new spots to go kayaking with her two young children.
