Jess is a passionate Design & technology leader with seven years of teaching experience, including four years leading DT in schools. She loves inspiring children to explore creativity through design and engineering, with a strong focus on the exploration and problem-solving process.

Before becoming a teacher, Jess did a PhD in astrochemistry at UCL and then worked at the synchrotron in Berkeley, California. In her spare time, Jess enjoys renovating her house, learning new DIY skills, camping, cooking and spending time with her husband and two cats.
