After graduating with a BA in History from King’s College and a PGCE from the IOE, Khatija spent five years teaching in London. She has also had the opportunity to teach in Kenya with Child.org in 2015 and the British Council in 2020. Her interests lie in archiving, cultural and postcolonial history, global education and climate justice. At Kapow Primary, Khatija currently creates content for the History scheme.

Outside of work, Khatija enjoys travelling the world with her best friend and husband, Kie, visiting family in the Philippines, and challenging herself with adventure sports. Her top recommendations are archery, scuba diving and sky diving.
